I made this sketchbook during a two-week solo trip, mostly in Rome and Florence, in May 2026.
While I usually try to draw from life for travel sketchbooks, for this one I worked mainly from photographs. I would visit places during the day and draw from my pictures in the evenings. I did not feel comfortable drawing on site, as most places I visited were overcrowded and not fit for long drawing sessions. And, traveling by myself, I enjoyed spending my evenings drawing.
